"cannot negotiate authentication method" with windows command line
client
We set up an subversion server that uses svnserve with sasl.
The server is subversion 1.6.4 on debian stable; the windows client is
subversion 1.6.5. 'subversion --version' suggests that sasl support is
included.
When trying to work with the repository via the windows client, I'm
only getting:
cannot negotiate authentication method
Working with tortoisesvn works. The linux command line client doesn't
have any problems either.
Unfortunately, we're working with an application that interfaces with
the repository checkout via the windows commandline client...
How would I find out what the problem is (and how to fix it)?
Regards, Frank

Hm, no reply so far.
So in case this message fell through the cracks nowhere, I'll full-
quote it below. Any pointers would be appreciated, as we weren't able
to solve the problem, yet.
