Regarding crimson1.1.zip
On downloading the crimson1.1.zip and extracting the zip, the file and the
jar shows 0KB, it seems nothing was downloaded at the first in stance...
Please help...

I can't reproduce the problem. Where are you downloading crimson from?
Try it using this URL: http://xml.apache.org/dist/crimson/. Also, the
latest code is available via CVS, but you must build it yourself using
ant 1.2.
