[ANN] Apache XML Graphics Commons 2.0 Released

The Apache XML Graphics team is pleased to announce the availability of
Apache XML Graphics Commons 2.0.

XML Graphics Commons is a set of components for dealing with graphics
e.g., PNG and TIFF codecs, Graphics2D implementations that generate PDF
and PostScript, an XMP metadata framework, etc.

It is primarily used by its sister projects Apache Batik and Apache FOP,
but can also be used independently.

The main new feature is the introduction of a URI resolution framework
that makes it easier to control resource access in a cloud environment.
Because of changes to the API, and following the principles of semantic
versioning, the version number has been bumped to 2.0. The minimum
required Java version is 1.6.
