[I] Feature merged to main but not available in Helm chart 1.18 [airflow]
deema-k opened a new issue, #60406:
URL: https://github.com/apache/airflow/issues/60406
### Official Helm Chart version
1.18.0 (latest released)
### Apache Airflow version
3.0.2
### Kubernetes Version
v1.32.11
### Helm Chart configuration
I noticed that several features have been merged into the main branch; however, the latest Helm chart release (1.18.0) was published around 8 months ago and does not include these changes.
Could you please clarify whether a new Helm chart release is planned to include these commits?
### Docker Image customizations
_No response_
### What happened
_No response_
### What you think should happen instead
_No response_
### How to reproduce
Deploy Apache Airflow using Helm chart v1.18.0 and review the available chart values. The database cleanup feature exists in the main branch but is missing from the Helm chart, so it cannot be enabled or configured when using this release.
### Anything else

> At the moment the feature exists in the main branch, but there is no way
You can easily install helm chart from the branch - it does not have to be released - see the README files. Doing it and confirming that things work for you on the issues that are fixing problems is a great way to contribute back for the free software you got. Highly recommended
> Could you please confirm:
Helm chart is released from main - when we decide to release it. We have just discussed releases of Helm Chart among the release managment team and we are aiming to introduce regular cadence of releases:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AIRFLOW/Release+Plan
Note that this is what is the intention, not committment, and it very much depends on time that volunteers can spend so that users like you can get the software for absolutely free. So a good idea is also to give back to the community for the free software you get from it. So - since you have some expectations to us, I will have an expectation to you - please subscribe to the devlist, and patiently wait when new helm chart release candidate is released. When we do it, we ask the users to test if the release candidate is good for them, has no issues, and whether it works as expected. Usually the voting period for release candidate is at least 72 hrs and we expect people like you (who are eager to get it) to report their test status.
It would be surprising to not see you among the people testing it @deema-k

I believe that all planned changes which will be included in the next Helm Chart release (1.19.0) can be found here https://github.com/apache/airflow/milestone/118

I checked the 1.19.0 milestone, but I don’t see the database cleanup feature listed there (https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/58707).
Could you please confirm:
- whether database cleanup support is planned for the Helm chart, and
- if so, whether it is expected in 1.19.0 or a later release?
At the moment the feature exists in the main branch, but there is no way
to enable or configure it via the Helm chart.
