Error when changed the log message of revision in revprops folder

Hi All,

I am such a newbie, I went in the revprops folder and change the log
message of some revision directly. Now it cause the revision props to be
unreadable by the client program I use.

TortoiseSVN give error when I tried to check the log of the file in the
revision that is corrupted.

All I did was open the revision file in TextPad then modify the log
message section, the rest of the file was unchanged. I am not sure if I
tricker anything when I modify the revision file directly.

Please help. I know now that I should use the svnadmin command for it.
But I really like to fix the revision that I screwed up. Unfortunately
there isn't backup.

If someone could explain how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Shouldn't have done that. :)

Exactly. :)

To fix this problem: undo the changes you did that made it not
work! :) Put the modified revprop files back the way they were
before. You could restore them from your backups, or if you don't
have any, then open them back up and retype the log message exactly
as it originally was, assuming you remember what that was.

In the future, if you want to modify the log message later, you will
want to read this FAQ:

http://subversion.tigris.org/faq.html#change-log-msg

And please don't manually modify any file of the repository database
(or in a working copy's .svn directory) anymore. :) It will just lead
to trouble. For any task you are likely to need to perform, there
will be a Subversion command of some kind to accomplish it. Read the
book ( http://svnbook.org ), read the FAQ, and ask on the list if you
need help.
