   @betodealmeida now that #36856 has landed on `master`, this should shrink down to just the session-restore and error-detection bits after a rebase. The `code_verifier` kwarg on `get_oauth2_authorization_uri` is what's tripping mypy and the unit tests. Happy to do the rebase if you'd like, just say the word.
