[jira] Created: (HIVEMIND-151) does no type conversion of Strings

<set-object> does no type conversion of Strings
-----------------------------------------------

         Key: HIVEMIND-151
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVEMIND-151
     Project: HiveMind
        Type: Bug
    Versions: 1.1
    Reporter: Kevin J. Menard, Jr.

This issue was originally raised on the Tapestry user mailing list. <set> will do type conversion from Strings to whatever the setter method expects, but <set-object> will not. This is a particularly big problem in Tapestry because all meta information is stored as Strings, yet there is no means to convert that String to a boolean, for example.
