 Review comment:
   The tests here are pretty much identical to the regex log plugin example that I created. The hope was that the tests would be extended to cover all functionality that is claimed in the plugin:
   
   * Test date, time and timestamp formats -- both valid and invalid.
   * Test with valid and invalid values where parsed. (Ints, dates, floats, etc.)
   * Test all supported data types.
   * Test the two special columns.
   
   In general, when submitting code, it will save lots of time if thorough unit tests are also provided. As it is, I had to find these bugs via code insertion which is not automated.
