[jira] [Commented] (BEAM-7717) PubsubIO watermark tracking hovers
near start of epoch
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEAM-7717?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17300701#comment-17300701 ]
Kenneth Knowles commented on BEAM-7717:
---------------------------------------
Sorry for the long delay.
I agree that line looks really weird.
On Dataflow the reading from Pubsub is done by a direct implementation in the backend so you wouldn't see it in production.
I don't have a ton of context but ping me again if this is still an outstanding issue.

> {quote}The watermark tracking seems off. The dataflow UI was reporting my watermark as around (but not exactly) the epoch (it was ~1970-01-19), which makes me wonder if seconds/milliseconds got confused somewhere (ie, if you take the time since epoch in milliseconds now and interpret it as seconds, you'll get somewhere around 1970-01-18).{quote}
