zip/unzip

Hi!

I am new in this mailing list...just start yesterday looking at SVN book
and installed a SVN server/client.
It seems that the team did a nice improvment and clean up of CVS.
Long life for this tool !

Simple question:
Can SVN do on the fly a unzip before committing (I am sure it can with a
hook),
but less obvious a zip before a checkout or an update ?
Why this question ?
Because I am searching for the best way to manage OpenOffice.org documents
with a text diff/merge on the XML inside.
assuming it is the all structure of a OOo document that is under version
control under SVN, and the binary zip sxX is rebuild for OOo.
I request of course to not patch SVN clients (command line, Tortoise,
Web,...)

Thanks

Laurent

A post-1.0 feature is to delegate the diffing to external tools. In this
case, there can be one method to diffing OOo files. But not now, sorry

Alberto.
