Tried running with an older JDK, as a periodic sanity-check of compatability. I 
got unexpected failures in:

Expression: 02
IDKey: 02,03,10,11,12,13,16,18,19,20,25,27,35,36
NumberFormat: 06,16

There may be multiple causes, and these may represent bugs in the JVM rather 
than in the Xalan code. But we should probably try to understand why they're 
happening and consider whether workarounds are needed.
