Also passes for me. They seem to have the right parent, but since they are unpacked maybe they aren't finding it if it wasn't installed. Does the parent get installed for you?
As a side note, these highlight that the maven-metadata doesn't set the version correctly in the local repository - not a big deal, just something we might want to fix eventually.

- VS Addin installs and launches (not tested more)
- Repo contains everything needed (rest is downloaded from central).
- Most ITs pass (its-trunk).
- My sample projects pass :-)

After some googling, I got past it by running it from an elevated
permission command window as noted in http://ms-uc.herber.co/?p=123

Win 7 64bit, VS2010, English for all. I think the latest .net and
maven. When I get back to work on Monday, I'll be able to give more
details.
It didn't even install NPanday, since the installer proceeded to roll
back after that error.

Can you point on your OS, Visual Studios, Maven, Java, .Net Frameworks
Installed. So that we can help you with the problem more. At first glance
I'm guessing that the Addin was not successfully added to your "My
Documents" and that you are using a german Visual Studios?

Although I'd like to note that there is a build failure on building wpf
projects missing error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'Automation' does
not exist in the namespace 'System.Windows' (are you missing an assembly
reference?)
I think this could be a potential blocker since this is a regression. It
fails to build on VS2008 and VS2010 WPF project types.
We could open this on a different issue and note it as a regression and work
on it on the next follow up release.

- tried the MSI and confirmed that worked for VS and the integration tests passed
- uninstalled, reset the GAC
- built from source, confirmed that could be installed in VS and that the integration tests passed
The license and notices look good to me.
The only major issue I've noticed is the documentation is not updated with the new group ID. I suggest we can change that on trunk and deploy it into the 1.4.0 location instead - it isn't included in the release anyway.
Also, the main site seems to have already been updated to 1.4.0 (though with the old version links) - we need to make sure that is fixed up properly after the release is out.

Hmm.... actually if you go ahead and open the vote on general@, you
might get another binding vote from there. AIUI, it's all one vote
spread across the two lists, you just have to get three Incubator PMC
members.
And since you're going to have to leave that vote open for the
requisite three days, might as well go ahead and get it started now
that you're pretty sure things are okay with the release.

There's still the problem with getting the .bz2 sources though, I think it's
the same problem encountered in the previous release (bug was filed in
Archiva) during the repository merge to people.apache. We would have to
delete those artifacts again in order to successfully merge the artifacts in
the staging repo once the release is approved. I think it was suggested in
the previous release attempt to just have a .zip of the sources instead of
having multiple packages of it (currently, .tar.gz, .bz2 and .zip).
Also, I think it should be highlighted in the documentation (and probably in
