non-JMS Java API and Android question

Hi,

I wanted to build a demo for using Qpid from an Android. I was wondering:

1) I see some people have started down the Android client and I'm wondering about the status.
2) I see issues with JNDI and the javax namespaces and I wonder if the non-JMS API might be a better approach. (?) 
3) What's the status of the non-JMS API.

(I also saw a info regarding solving the problem in 2) using:
