[POLL] What do you plan to use with your next project?

Which begs a query to the group:
(1) Is your team planning a new web application project over the next
twelve months?
(1a) If so, what web application framework do you plan to use?
(2) Hypothetically, if you were starting a new webapp project, and for
some reason could not use a Struts framework (Classic, Shale,
OverDrive, Ti), what other framework would you want to use?

Yes.

* Struts, since JSP taglibs are available to support multi-channel
applications that talk to Struts out of the box.
* If Shale dialogs supported SCXML, that'd be a close second, and
there'd probably be incentive to port the speech components over in
Jakarta Taglibs to JSF components.

<snap/>
Not aware of any that suit my needs without some customization for non-GUI bits.

Probably Shale. Although, I have not had very much time to figure
shale out yet. I can see the benefits, but I just haven't had a
great deal of time to actually put it into practice. So I'm trying
to do that on a side project right now. If the side project doesn't
pan out I will likely explore vanilla-JSF.
My priority list would go something like this: Shale -> JSF ->
Struts-Classic with Chain. By that I mean I would start with Shale.
If I can't get anywhere with that I'd try plain old JSF. If I still
can't get work done I'd resort to something I know very well: Struts
Classic with Chain.

JSF.

Yes, multiple actually.

Struts 1.2.x (1.2.4 at the moment, trying to at least push to 1.2.7, 1.3
preferably)

Given that constraint, I doubt very much I could push through anything
other than JSF, knowing the business minds here, so it would be the choice
by default, but not by desire :) If I had absolute free reign to decide,
still under the original constraint, I'd probably go with Spring MVC.

Yep. More than one.
(1a) If so, what web application framework do you plan to use?
SmartClient + Struts 1.3 (possibly + Velocity, definitely no JSP)
(2) Hypothetically, if you were starting a new webapp project, and for

1) yes, actually a large one is scheduled for januar and another large
one for august/september. No to mention up to 5 smaller apps.
1a) struts-core + tiles, no dynaforms, no chaining, no validators (we
already have all this + ajax on top usage-ready), so basically
actionsservlet +actions + tiles + taglibs with own taglibs on top. No
jstl.
2) Don't know, probably would look into Tapestry. Under no
circumstances JSF, because its not business friendly (not crawlbar by
search engines) and far too young.

1) In the process of doing one now, Struts 1.2.7.
2) Don't know enough about other frameworks, but for now would stay
away from component-based ones (JSF, Tapestry). Wicket and Stripes
look interesting, but they're pretty green.
As an aside, the rest of the team I'm on was just trained (formally)
this past year in Struts and other webapps are in Struts. To suggest a
different framework at this point would be to commit seppuku, I
suspect this is the case at many corporate shops as well. The
business case to switch to a new framework has to not just be "better"
(more productive, better features, etc), but orders of magnitude
better for management to essentially abandon a prior decision.

Perhaps AJAX, it is completely different approach from
Struts/MVS framework
