Deploy vs Instal
Hello yet again.
What is the difference between the ./servicemix/install and
./servicemix/deploy directories? Is this difference well-defined, or
merely a convention of some type?

This is purely a logical difference:
the JBI spec says that SA are deployed while
components are installed, hence the two directories.
This is historical, but the configuration can be changed
to a single directory if you want.

deploy is : hot-deploy directory for service assemblies, your
application configuration
install is : hot-deploy directory for components and shared libraries
from smx release
You can get more information about all smx directoy at
