Looks like it is a fork. Which is disappointing. My only hope is
that this will help us get back on track to organizing Tuscany and
building a community here.

yep..i asked because i've read that. from that readme however, it
seems like they'll work on the federated runtime, and not the whole
thing...
well..let's see. I'm sure they'll make a great job, and the projects
will learn from each other and (hopefully) cooperate.

I'm also disappointed --- I think that resolving arguments and finding
technical ways to meet multiple competing needs is one of the
strengths of open source. And forking is one of the weaknesses.
But its just my 2c worth.
