struts 1.1 dyna form [newbie]

wondering if this is possible

in the config file of of dyna forms, can we set custom properties for each
field?

perhaps something like =>

<field blabla >
  <paramname>custom field param1</paramname>
  <paramvalue>custome field param1</paramvalue>
</field>

or any other method? different syntax?

what i'd like to do is validate required fields depending on a "required
parameter" that i pass to the dynaform it the forms repective field. is this
possible?
