New Feature Discussion: Distributed/Resilient Spaces

Hi All,

There was a brief discussion on the development list a little while
back about introducing the concept of a distributed or resilient
space.

I've created a Jira [1] for people to discuss their ideas and
requirements for such a service.

>From the Jira:

"Currently, if you put an entry in a JavaSpace, and that space fails,
you've lost your entry.  Hence the current functionality only provides
a single-point-of-failure-space.  How should a distributed space work?
 What are the trade offs that users are prepared to accept to get
resilient spaces (RS)?"

Any and all feedback is welcome.
