Tomcat & not root

Hi,

Tomcat runs on port 8080 (well, set up to be so). Would there be any
problem if its started by a user other than root?

TIA,
Oki

It works fine for me, I'm using su -c '<startup-command>' in
the startup scripts of my linux box.

WRT security, I prefer running most server software as non-root.
