Difference between link, assign, and provision?

/link / unlink users/roles to/from specific resources (soft link),

assign / unassign users/roles to/from specific resources (hard link),

provision / de-provision users/roles on/from specific resources (maybe,
without any link)./

Can someone explain the difference between these three provisioning types? I
dont fully understand the definition in the documentation.
I am new to the concept of idm's

Thanks for the reply response.

So if i want to populate the syncope with users and groups from active

Hi,

waiting for reference guide to be completed, you can take a look at

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SYNCOPE/Provisioning

in the meanwhile.
