I was able to have Oozie jobs succeed with .23 using the "simple" pseudo authentication (non-kerberos). As Mohammad mentioned, the Hadoop code change required is tracked at https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-3392. Now, this patch has been committed to Hadoop 23 trunk.
