Assignment operator in #if condition results in false

           Summary: Assignment operator in #if condition results in false
           Product: Velocity
           Version: 1.2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Source
        AssignedTo: velocity-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: ddekany@freemail.hu

The code bellow will print No always. IMO it should be a parse error, especially as it is a frequent
mistake to accidentally exchage == and =. (Or should print Yes because x = z as an expression is
traditionally z, but then the assigment should be done which is not a good idea.)

  #if($foo =
'xxx') Yes #else No #end

Tried with 1.2 Stable and 1.3 Nightly 22/03
