Newbie followup

I forgot to mention that I have been getting a message, on occasion 
since this problem began, indicating that the new revision is being 
sent to the repository, and the message indicates status 6 at the end 
of the message.  When I then look at the repository, it is messed up 
until I recover it, and the working directory remains locked until I 
clean it up.
