[jira] Created: (HARMONY-3965) [drlvm][vmcore] Need framework to
obtain help for all components
[drlvm][vmcore] Need framework to obtain help for all components
----------------------------------------------------------------
Key: HARMONY-3965
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-3965
Project: Harmony
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: DRLVM
Reporter: Alexey Varlamov
Priority: Trivial
Expected that JRE prints detailed help and options summary on "-X" cmd-line argument.
But in fact it is unable to obtain component-specific help interactively, via command line. User have to dig over docs or sources to find magic options.
As a part of modular design, vmcore (or component manager?) must not hardcode options and help messages for pluggable components, but should provide a framework to obtain this info for each component.
