I have this exact same problem (the ant build hangs in an http condition) but
outside Eclipse. In my case it is running under Anthill 1.8.1.303 inside Tomcat
5.5.17.

If I build from the cmd-line, it just works. If I build from Eclipse, it just
works. But from Anthill, it hangs.
