errors about javax.mail missing when building roller4

This is probably a FAQ, if so sorry.

I'm trying to build roller (in Netbeans, but also straight in the
Terminal) on OSX.

I just

  cd apache-roller-src-4.0/apps/weblogger
  ant build

and the build fails because the package javax.mail can't be found.
Looking through the source tree, there's no sign of activation.jar and mail.jar.

Am I missing something obvious here?

Licenses suck :)

jta.jar is missing too. Could this go in a FAQ or something?

As I remember, at the time of 4.0, it was not clear that mail.jar and
activation.jar from Glassfish were under CDDL and it the equivalent
jars from Geronimo appears to be too buggy to use.

Hopefully, one or both of those things has changed now.

Thanks, I'll have to do that then
(they ship with the appserver anyway).

Is there any reason why these don't ship with roller 4.0?
Seems odd to leave them out.

Yeah, I got that error too. If I remember correctly you have to download those separately and add the jars to your classpath.
