I've tested with pax-exam v2.3.x branch and now it works. I'll upgrade/revert asap we've finished the release process

...on the Karaf trunk I dont find anything. So this seams to be rather an inner conflict between libs; maybe the "fault" of r1233231 ([KARAF-1163] Upgrade to Guava 11.0.1). I'll start bisect(ing) a little bit checking if I can find the reason and will come back later with the results.

Andreas, with pax exam 2.4.0 working that would remove the need for http://team.ops4j.org/browse/PAXEXAM-353. If this is the case, then I'll close out the 2.3.1 release request.

I've successfully upgraded labs-paxexam-karaf to 2.4.0 (with the correct patch included). I need to patch pax-exam at various places and some other minor things are still open. though the patch will come soon for karaf.
