presumably sun one is jsr 168 compliant. if yes, you'd use the cocoon
portal to make lenya content available.

there is a poll conducted on the cocoon lists about the cocoon portal,
and several people have expressed that they prefer it over other
solutions. this might apply here too.

that's funny, because we have to integrate
http://www.oblix.com/products/coreid/ into the project i am working on,
and it's also one of the most painful parts of the project..

What do you mean?
Which poll?
What I was going to say is: The Sun ONE / Sun Java Systems Portal SSO
stuff is a pain. I am working on that partly for a customer. They even
have Sun people on site, but it took them several months to make a
little proof of concept working.

we are currently integrating lenya with the cocoon portal for a customer
and will hopefully have something to report in a couple weeks.

Xavier,
two questions:
1. What Sun product do you mean exactly. They are renaming their products
almost on a quarterly basis, so you might want to check back with their
website.
Are you talking about the "Sun Java System Web Server 6.1" formerly known
as "Sun ONE Webserver 6.1" formerly known as Netscape Webserver? This is
basically their webserver which comes with a built-in servlet container,
so this product covers the functionality of Apache httpd + Apache Tomcat.
Or is your organisation trying to implement "Sun Java System Portal Server
6 2004Q2" formerly known as Sun ONE Portal server which is usually
bundeled with their directory server (read: LDAP server) and their Access
Manager to create some sort of Single-Sign-On (SSO)?
Is it the SSO stuff you are looking at or is it really more along the
lines of JSR-168? I am actually not sure about the JSR-168 readiness of
their Portal Server! At the time it was known as Sun ONE (one rename prior
to Sun Java System ...) it wasn't.
And the whole thing is a pain anyway!

Torsten
