IBM WebSphere Classloader
I'm having the following problem:
Environment:
Webshere 3.5.6 on W2K
Struts 1.1b1 (with 1.0.2 this problem does'nt occurs)
I deployed the example application following the recomendation for Websphere
in the Struts site.
When I start Websphere and the Websphere try to load the example struts
application it stops in a ClassNotFoundException.
I put comments in the commons-logging code and I get this conclusion:
org.apache.commons.logging.Factory.java
...
Class clazz = classLoader.loadClass(factoryClass); // throws an
ClassNotFoundException
...
where classLoader -> com.ibm.ejs.util.jar.JarClassLoader@f0c6044e
factoryClass -> "org.apache.commons.logging.impl.LogFactoryImpl"
...
that line throws "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
org.apache.commons.logging.impl.LogFactoryImpl not found"
...
Obviously, org.apache.commons.logging.Factory and
org.apache.commons.logging.impl.LogFactoryImpl are in the same jar
(commons-logging.jar)
It looks like there is a problem with the IBM Classloader ...
Note: this problem does'nt occurs with Websphere 3.5.6/Struts 1.0.2 or
Tomcat/J2SDK 1.4/Struts 1.1b1.
