[DISCUSS] Planning the ServiceMix 4.0 release

In order to be able to release ServiceMix 4.0, we need a few things to
be worked on on both the kernel and the nmr.
See the roadmap of those projects:
  https://issues.apache.org/activemq/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&mode=hide&sorter/order=DESC&sorter/field=priority&resolution=-1&pid=11040&fixfor=11981
  https://issues.apache.org/activemq/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&mode=hide&sorter/order=DESC&sorter/field=priority&resolution=-1&pid=11050&fixfor=11916

Is there anyone willing to handle some of those issues so we can come
up with a plan / schedule ?

I don't recall exacty what the patch contains.
Be aware that it may require some refactoring of the JBI layer to make
the mbeans work.

Hi Guillaume,

I'll take SMX4KNL-94 (Provide a JMX frontend on top of the features
service).

While I am looking at JMX stuff I can look at SMX4NMR-17 (Implement the
needed JMX mbeans for deployment / installation / management of JBI
artifacts). There is an old patch and it looks like Guillaume might have
done some work on it so let me know if there is anything new I should look
at.

Guillaume,

I can help out with some of these issues later this week or in the
beginning of the next. I guess we best focus on the Kernel issues
first, because that's would be the first one to get released?

Regards,

Gert
