Re: OCW: Work in Progress...

I'm loving this Chris! CC'ing the Apache OCW list (dev@climate.apache.org).

Can you join the list and start CC'ing them on the emails? Thanks buddy.

One thing to take a look at:

http://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/pmcs.html

I think working a feather somewhere in the logo would be great, and
adhering
to the website guidelines above. FEel free to attach your logo to JIRA too:

Cheers!

Ah yes, I figured I misunderstood =)

I read it as “I like it, and it would make it adhere to the guidelines.”
My fault!

I didn't say it mandated inclusion. I said I'm a fan of including
the feather. What is mandated is the website adhering to the ASF
branding guidelines.

Cheers,
Chris

Chris M,

I was looking through the ASF docs on logos. I can¹t seem to find the
location where it mandates that the logo include the ASF feather. Could
you guide a blind man? It seems that it¹s optional, or perhaps I¹m
misreading you here (I probably am =).

"Projects may may [sic] choose to use the Apache feather in their logo if
they wish"

If it is optional, I¹m generally a fan of it not being included in the
logo.
<blasphemy>
Truthfully, I find the the feather to be a bit garish.
</blasphemy>

Cheers!
