Change look and feel of JSP panes

Hi,
Does anybody know how to change the look and feel of panes using jsp? I know it can be done using vm by changing the jetspeed-tab.vm file. But is there anyway to do it in jsp? I have been using jsp all along and dun want to using vm just for this! Thanks.
