We will have our regular meeting Friday, June 17 at 9 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) to discuss JDO TCK issues and status.

Agenda:

1. EMail "A new general method to update object databases / Should it be included in Java Data Objects, JDO?”

There seems to be agreement that a new JDO method has not been justified. Discussion continues on email.

2. New patch for JDO-754 "Add more logical complement operator JDOQL query tests”

Patch looks good.

3. New patch for JDO-751 "Support for Java8 Optional" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-751 / Discussion "EmbeddedPCMapping cannot be cast to PersistableMapping”

Latest patch has two remaining issues. Discuss on email. 

3a) "SELECT FROM org.apache.jdo.tck.pc.query.OptionalSample WHERE !(optionalPC.optionalPC.isPresent())”
returns too many results

3b) orElse works only in the Select clause not in the where clause

4. JDO 3.1: Need to go through change lists in JIRA for 3.1 RC1 and 3.1 to prepare JCP Change Log

5. [DISCUSS] New committer Tilmann Zäschke (JDO)

Tilmann is open to the idea.

6. Other issues
