We are using Spark 1.5.1 with `--master yarn`, Yarn RM is running in HA mode.

Is you cluster multihomed?
If yes, try setting the variables SPARK_LOCAL_{IP,HOSTNAME} I had this issue
before: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-11147
