nightly builds

Hello Commons Developers,

I just noticed that the download link for "Nightly Snapshots" [1]
in your site navigation points to somewhat outdated packages.
I'm not sure whether the location has moved or whether there
is no nightly build anymore. Most packages at [2] are even older.
I suggest to update or remove the link. Or is this an issue
with Gump not getting to the Commons packages because of
integration problems?

cheers,
  Roland

Unfortunately, due to a maven bug, the snaps there are not dated.
There are three things holding up getting the nightlies back

1) someone with enough perms has to set up rsynch (or wget) vmbuild <-> people
2) we need to get dates back on the snaps
3) we need to modify the continuum commands to create distributions

I have been thinking about doing 3) (should be easy) and then 1) with
wget (leaving the snaps out of it), since we can't seem to get rsynch
set up.

I would like to get these back somehow. As a last resort we could go
back to the old bash scripts.

Phil

It's probably not a bad idea to remove them until there is something
in place again.

My 2 cents
