Native RTMPS VS Tunneling RTMPS

Hi, all,

How do I know I am using Native RTMPS VS Tunneling RTMPS?
I am using OM4.0 and I also want to know performance difference between
these two methods.

Thanks,

Tom

Hello Tom,

Native

---------

File: conf/red5-core.xml

Enable: rtmpsMinaIoHandler and rtmpsTransport

+ better performance due to self-reliance

- Combines RTMP with SSL à hard to solve issues.

Tunnel: tunnels through HTTPS

------------------------------------------

File: conf/jee-container.xml

Enable: Tomcat with SSL enabled

+ easy to handle

- One protocol relying on the other’s performance.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Hemant K. Sabat
