Reporting broken download link

Can’t download Apache OpenOffice, any version. I tried Internet Explorer (Windows 10) and Chrome, still does not download. The error message is the same each time.

For example, ver 4.1.2:

The file "Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe" has been blocked. The file is larger than the configured file size limit.

URL = netassist.dl.sourceforge.net/project/openofficeorg.mirror/4.1.2/binaries/en-US/Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe

Or ver 4.0.0:

The file "Apache_OpenOffice_4.0.0_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe" has been blocked. The file is larger than the configured file size limit.

Yes, I agree with Jan.

I just used Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64 and Internet Explorer 11 with no difficulty and especially no blocking.  The 134MB Download starts without complication and the expected IE "Do you want to ..." pop-up happens at the bottom of my browser Window.  Neither IE nor SourceForge seem to be the source of this limitation.

What does the message that announces blocking of the download look like?  Does it have a title bar or other descriptive information?

Hi Samuel,

It sounds to me that there may be some restrictions on your end.

Some Googling suggests that your employer might have a FortiGate Firewall blocking large downloads.

Please try downloading the file from home or from another network, and report back if that does not solve your issue.
