Assigning scorer in Solr

Hi,

I am new to lucene/solr and working on to understand the functionalities of
IndexSearcher in Lucene.
Can anyone please let me know how scorers are obtained from the Weight when
weight.scorer function is called in the function
protected void search(AtomicReaderContext[] leaves, Weight weight,
Collector collector) throws IOException

How to assign a different scorer to the weights.
