[jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-10900) CQL3 spec should clarify that now() function is calculated on the coordinator node

Wei Deng created CASSANDRA-10900:
------------------------------------

Summary: CQL3 spec should clarify that now() function is calculated on the coordinator node
                 Key: CASSANDRA-10900
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-10900
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Documentation and Website
            Reporter: Wei Deng
            Assignee: Wei Deng
            Priority: Trivial

DataStax CQL v3.3 document on now() function here (http://docs.datastax.com/en/cql/3.3/cql/cql_reference/timeuuid_functions_r.html) states that it is generated on the coordinator, but this is not reflected on the apache cassandra CQL3 spec. Since it is a minor addition, there's no urgency to add it and the commit can stay in trunk.
