changing the name of namespace (slide)

Hello

I tried to change the name of namespace (slide) in to another name 
(newnamespace) and made necessary changes in the slide.def and slide.data 
files but I could not reach to the pages at
http://localhost:808x/newnamespace
the page
http://localhost:808x/slide still works
is there anyway to change slide in to another name...
any help would be appreciated:)
