Just wondering why compaction is disabled on the hints table by default (and only on that table across the system keyspace)? 
is that for performance reasons? Can this be turned on safely?
Also, can this be changed safely to levelled compaction?

compaction= {'enabled': 'false', 'class': 'SizeTieredCompactionStrategy'}

I am using 2.0.7
