[VOTE] Apache SIS 0.2-incubating release rc #1

Hi Folks,

A candidate for the Apache SIS 0.2-incubating release is available at:

 http://people.apache.org/~mattmann/apache-sis-0.2-incubating/rc1/

The release candidate is a tar.gz archive of the sources in:

  http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/sis/tags/0.2-incubating

The SHA1 checksum of the archive is 55d6e5ae2b30be769f1e465a496ead7b84b9e097.

A staged Maven repository for Apache SIS is here:

https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachesis-067/

Please vote on releasing this package as Apache SIS 0.2-incubating.
The vote is open for at least the next 72 hours and passes if a majority of at
least three +1 SIS PPMC votes are cast.

[ ] +1 Release this package as Apache SIS 0.2-incubating
[ ] -1 Do not release this package because...

Thanks!

Cheers,
Chris

P.S. Here's my +1.

Hey Guys,

Sorry this fell off my radar, I'll try and address Kevan's issues and push a 0.2
incubating release rc #2 by this weekend.

Then hopefully we can get on to 0.3-incubating pretty soon thereafter since
Charith and Ross are onboard and had some momentum (until it died off ;) ).

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks Kevan, appreciate all the mentor help and license help. And, I wasn't sure about the CDDL
comment which is why I joked it was snarky, but no offense intended!

Thanks again for the help and I hope to have a new RC in the next day or two.

Cheers,
Chris

If I was snarky, certainly wasn't my intent… CDDL is an ok license policy-wise. I was just trying to be complete in laying-out options… Removal is certainly preferred.

Yep. I've been watching. Unfortunately no time for any doing. I am trying to carve out mentor time, though…

Thanks!

Got it. I'll try and make Maven put them in the right place this time, and will file an issue to fix such.

Thanks Kevan, no worries, I'm on it...

The LICENSE/NOTICE files in sis-webapp-0.2-incubating.war are not in the correct location (WEB-INF/classes/META-INF/LICENSE) which is minor, IMO. The contents of the LICENSE/NOTICE files are not correct. As they don't include jdom or servlet-api license information. I doubt that the servlet API is needed, at all. Also, the servlet API is available from Geronimo with an ALv2, if you prefer to the CDDL/GPL licensed version currently being used.

I seem to recall JDOM coming up last time…

I'd be +1 except for the above…

Thanks Chris!
