JDO support -- would obsolete many current & proposed object store plugins

Hi all,

Since maximizing the number of types of object stores that Isis can support
quickly, I've added an enhancement request to support JDO 3.0 as an object
store plugin. If you recall, JDO has, since its inception, been
datastore-agnostic, unlike JPA, which is relational only.

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ISIS-14

By supporting JDO and leveraging DataNucleus (the open source JDO reference
implementation), it might just render many of the other proposed and current
object store plugins obsolete. A very large number of data stores can be
supported by DataNucleus, both relational and non-relational.

See the JIRA & DataNucleus for more info. Note also that the JDO API & TCK
are an Apache open source project, http://db.apache.org/jdo .
