Have you got sample (log4.properties I suppose?) to set configuration logging on BeanUtils.

There's not enough information here to tell you what's going wrong, but 
something you can try to understand the problem better would be to 
configure debug logging for BeanUtils. That usually makes it easier to 
see exactly how/where BeanUtils is failing.
