[performance] Derby + DBCP test?
Does it make sense to create a unit test that does dbcp testing on top of Derby?

That would be great. The unit tests certainly need work. Thanks!

Mostly the former - I imagine that actual testing of DBCP against
Derby won't be as important as being able to run it against
Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server etc.
Looking to get my feet wet in [performance], and finishing the unit
tests against Derby and Jetty seemed like a good way to get started.

When you say "unit test," do you mean a unit test like the ones in
[performance] now that verify that the framework does what it is
supposed to, or a (set of) configuration file(s) that run tests
against derby?
I am open to any and all ideas on how to make the config and overall
setup in [performance] easier to work with. I have thought about
assembling a set of config files that simulate certain types of
situations and committing them or putting them on the wiki somewhere.
Configs (including connect urls, etc) for various databases for the
dbcp tests would be good to have.
