[jira] Closed: (HTTPCORE-20) InputStreamEntity - post message body
is not being sent on retry
[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCORE-20?page=all ]
Roland Weber closed HTTPCORE-20.
--------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
The correct way to solve the repeatability problem is to wrap a BufferedHttpEntity around the InputStreamEntity.
There should be only one buffering implementation, not one in every kind of entity.
cheers,
Roland

> If writeTo() was executed once, but the post message was not sent for some reason (e.g. SocketTimeOut) - on retry the body of post message was not sent because InputStream pointer was on the end and consumed=true
> The attached class contains the fix - lines:
> instream.reset(); //line 79
> this.consumed = false; //line 80
> in addition it contains inner class ResetableInputStream that extends the InputStream class and implements the intstream.reset()
