SSLManagerCommand and SSLManager property settings
Summary: SSLManagerCommand and SSLManager property settings
Product: JMeter
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Main
AssignedTo: jmeter-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: jkb@stian.freeserve.co.uk
SSLManagerCommand.java is not invoked in non-GUI mode, yet it sets the System
Properties:
"java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol"
and
"javax.net.ssl.debug", "all"
It seems to me that anyway these should be set in jmeter.properties, not in
the code, and therefore should be removed from SSLManagerCommand.java.
===
SSLManager sets java.protocol.handler.pkgs from ssl.pkgs, or, if that is not
set, sets it to java.protocol.handler.pkgs if that is set.
It seems to me that again, this should be set in the jmeter.properties file,
not in the code.
However, if it is found necessary to set it at run-time, then it should add
the value of ssl.pkgs to that of java.protocol.handler.pkgs, rather than over-
riding java.protocol.handler.pkgs with ssl.pkgs.
