Properties added to a custom config are also displayed on the default config group page, albeit with a link labelled ("switch to") in order to jump to the custom config where that property is defined. For this reason it appears intentional, however it is not intuitive or obvious whether the properties coming from the custom configs are merely being displayed or if they actually take effect on the default config.

Can we confirm whether:
1) this is intended behavior?
2) custom config properties have effect on the default config?
3) showing all custom config properties on the default config is intuitive?
