That would be a most elegant solution (either that or add a property
which ServletRedirector should be used for checking the 'up'-ness of the
servlet container).

Okay I have read your patch (which looks very fine). However, I was
thinking that it could be even better if we fixed this limitation. What
if we modify the <cactifywar> task so that it add a ServletRedirector as
the first definition in web.xml? That would solve the problem, no?

I'll still add a note in the doc for users of Cactus < 1.6-[date when we
fix the pb]
