Nope, I guess it was just a problem with wording (my understanding
thereof):
>
> There should be a 'Call for Presenters' link near the top of the
> sidebar, and the following text near the bottom of the CFP info:

that's different from:
>
>> If you would like to be a speaker at the ApacheCon Europe 2005 event,
>> please
>> go to the ApacheCon Web site, log in, and choose the 'Submit a CFP'
>> option
>> from the list there

the first instructions were login first and find the link next, while
that's not the case: you should select CFP from the home page first,
and that will let you login. If you login first, on the post-login
pages there is nothing mentioning the CFP. Problem solved. :-)

Are you using Internet Exploder? I've just heard there might be
a problem with that somehow.

There should be a 'Call for Presenters' link near the top of the
sidebar, and the following text near the bottom of the CFP info:

Home page doesn't render in Safari either. However, I extracted the
link to the CFP from the page source and the form renders fine.

Maybe this is intentional, a little clue barrier for potential
presenters?

I had the same problem earlier. But it works now. I can click on "Call for
presenters", then login and voila.

However the site doesn't show up if you use IE.

Am I the only one unable to see any CFP submission link anywhere after
I log in? For that matter, on the left column there's nothing about EU
AC '05...

I think, S&S might hate the "produced by Security Travel" link on the
bottom left of the proposal page...

Das war doch schon mal gar nicht so schlecht ;-)

Anyway, I think, English is the choice, think, what happened if it was
somewhere in Switzerland (German/Italian/French)...

As you can read on apachecon.com/2005/EU, it's EST. Also, the deadline has
obviously been extended:

 >> SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 22h30 EST Saturday, 12 March 2005

I guess so since Europe isn't just Germany. What I rather wonder is if
the time of the dateline is CET?

Anybody can demystify this mysterious wording? What amounts are in the US
dollars? There are no amounts that I can see on those pages. Ken?
